    Lunar

There are many challenges and obstacles human faced before they successfully landed on the moon. While landing on the moon is still difficult, advancements in technology have allowed even taking a vocational trip around the moon possible. The purpose behind the Lunar X ChallengeHome 1 sponsored by Google is to accelerate the advancement of space travel so that future research missions will be more efficient and affordable. The challenge that our team has decided to take on for this research and design competition is to design a robot that can survive one lunar night, which is 14.5 Earth-days. Although seemingly simple because the robot can remain idle for much of the time, we took into account the moon’s rough and unstable surface and its extreme temperatures. Finally, we found solutions to prevent the robot from malfunctioning in the harsh condition.
