The Lunar rover
has many communication capabilities.
First, it will send back a near real-time video feed to the
“Universal Space Network,” who will feed the information
back to earth and mission control. It will also
distribute it to Google Lunar X-Prize. The Universal
Space Network is a company designed to receive and interpret
data sent to earth by a rover from outer space. They
will distribute the data to all of the locations. The space asset (robot) sends a signal down to earth. That signal is then interpreted by ground stations. The stations then forward the system through a secure network to the management system. The manager sends the information to mission control. |
