We had one design concept that was rejected because it was too simple, easy, and the whole group agreed that it was boring. Our first robot’s task was to gather houses and put umbrellas on them, which would give us 24 points. The second robot would be programmed gather pineapples and leaves until about 30 seconds. At the 30 seconds mark, robot two would gather the waters and put them in both bins. Once the volcano erupted it would gather the lavas and throw them off the field. This idea could potentially give us a total of 50-64 points. This was rejected because it wasn’t unique and exciting like the other ideas. It would also be very difficult to program the second robot to accomplish its tasks, all of them, without interfering with the other robot or crashing into something and ruining our chances of getting any more points.
