The Equal Footing Foundation has several clubhouses that have several clubs.  One of these clubs is called the Botball Club.  The Botball Club is designed to teach kids science, math, and engineering in a fun and creative way. The Botball Club integrates the use of computer programming such as C++, Lego Robotics Kits and many more other tools in order to build robots which are then used in friendly competitions.  One of the competitions that the Botball club has become part of was in 2006 where the team won fifth place overall for “Best Small Robot.”  However, team members are also guided by mentors who are in one of these professional fields who help to build the robots.  By creating this club, this club allows kids to bring innovative and creative ideas and build robots based on those ideas.  As well, the number of kids pursuing degrees in science, math or engineering might increase due to the interest in robotics.
