The Lucky Longfellow Loops History:
Longfellow, well known for its high academic achievement, has a new after school club. You guessed it. It's Botball. After Mathcounts, It's Academic, chess, and Science Olympiad, the Middle school now has robotics. It was the Goel family that really got this thing started. Without Mrs. Rajni Goel, Botball would have never worked. Big thanks!!!
When we first got together, the whole team had no clue what they were dealing with. Botball is completely different from any of those other clubs. Mathcounts is mostly math, chess is logic, It's Academic is trivia memorizing, and Science Olympiad is some building and experimenting. In Botball, the whole team can say that the biggest element to this club and competition is luck. Luck tied in with some logic (programing), construction (building), and writing (documentation) that is. Robots aren't as "exact" as you think they might be. One second they're making a phenomenal 90 degree turn, and then it just "has a mood swing" and turns 82 degrees. The team will tell you, robotics takes frustration to a new level.
As the weeks kept rolling by, we have decided that our team name is the Lucky Longfellow Loops (as we will need some hefty amount of luck.) Our cute little robot's name is Coconut, named no other than Hamed. Other information we can not disclose. Have you tried the "Our Complete Strategy" section of the site.
