The dream of living on the moon has always been an alluring prospect to mankind. Yet without an easily accessible source of water, habitation of the earth’s satellite will remain merely a dream. In response to the pressing need to uncover water on the moon, the Oak Ridge High School Robotics team 06-0184 has conceived of a radical robotic design that will help pave humanities path to lunar conquest. We introduce, the first Autonomous Lunar Rover (ALR) Spero.
