So I woke up this morning and ...W0W! It's been nine months since I was last up and around so none of my old friends are here. There are all these new people who have never done Botball before. I better go out of the cage and see what else has changed.
It seems nothing stays the same. The board is different this year too! There's this giant pendulum thing in the middle of the game board. It's loads of fun to swing on so I guess this can stay put until...OUCH! I just fell off.
So I'm standing on the platform on top of the swing thing and it looks like everything is pretty much the same. The big wind tunnel is blocking my view of the drill presses, as usual. That thing is soo useless!
I can see the scary band saws. SOMEONE *cough*Steve*cough* tried to saw me in half last year. Maybe I am glad he's not around this year. Did you know that the big one actually came from a butcher shop?
There's the buoy the Research and Experimentation class built two years ago with a grant from MIT. It floated around in the Chesapeake Bay collecting data on water temperature, chemical content, and other interesting stuff. It even has a built-in bird deflector that's really fun to fly off of. WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
It would seem the school bought a new buffer. It can make things polished and shiny. I don't particularly want to go any closer because I'm afraid someone else *sneeze* Lauren *sneeze* will think I need to be a bit shinier. Not that I'm dull or anything, I'm pretty bright if I do say so myself.
That kiln thing over there is pretty big. Jon used it last year to store his model for the Build Your Own Dream Vehicle contest. Wait a sec...its getting pretty hot in here...LAUREN! (What?) TURN OFF THE KILN (Fine *sigh*)
Wow. So I'm back where I started. I think the team will do pretty well...if they can stop playing HORSE *sneeze* Ami *sneeze* Sean *sneeze cough*. Back to the cage to get some sleep. Maybe I'll wake up sooner than 9 months from now.
