The CEC Team 1, formally called Duct Tape Dragons, was founded in 2004 by Richard Bever and coached by Rena Coffman. The team was composed of students and coaches who knew fairly little about Botball or robotics for that matter. They were blinded through pretty much the entire process. They tried their best and worked hard, even suffering technological difficulties and placed 5th. At nationals, they finished close to last. They decided that things would get better with experience and decided to give Botball another chance this year.
