Introducing the Little
Rock Central High Botball Team of 2005. This is our home
page where information will be provided. The home page
will include pictures and information on our progress;
updates; team members and their contributions; documentation;
sponsors; upcoming events; and game rules. We are excited
about this year’s team. The team prepares students
for their future by providing them with the many tools.
Botball improves student’s social and management
skills, leadership, teamwork, and skills. We will be constructing
a robot to compete with local students on the high school
level. Let’s get started!!!

Week 1 Summary |

|
s the week nears its end, my work on the
website, too, comes to a finishing touch, which I would
perform hopefully before the end of next week so that
I can make ample time to focus on the programming of
the bots. Never had I feel as confident of winning first
place as I do now. Everything seems so godsend. Our team
has many eager young minds; I myself among them for sure;
we are also blessed to have people like Korosh and Billie-Marie
among us, who, despite their quietness, would often be
driven by their natural curiosity and hunger for new
computer-programming knowledge. Next week, I am looking
forward to run our first alpha testing on the board,
which is near its completion |

Week 2 Summary |

|
espite many obstacles,
we accomplished our herculean tasks on time. The programmer's
task for
the week was to produce sample codes with which the bot
can use to run testing procedures, The bot, or Prudens
as we call it, will have the capability to hear, to touch,
to sense, to see and to make adjustments to it's motors
and servos when necessary. With all of which, Prudens
will be able to accomplish the great tasks we have endowed
to it using minimal time.
The Mechanical Design team's job was to create a
stable base for the Handyboard and work with the "strategists" to
create claws that can grab trash and "BotGuy." While
the strategies are still in the process of being completed,
the idea of the base for the robot was finished and
the wheels are the next step in being built since we "scrapped" the
first robot design.
