Welcome to Santa Fe South High School's Research Website
Competition Page. This year's contest asks us to look into
assistive robotics. We have chosen to focus our
research on using robotics with prostheses and the recent
advancements made in that field. In our idea exploration
section we give new and innovative ways in which this field
might make significant strides in the future. Prosthetics have come a long way since the first recorded
prosthetic device, in an ancient poem describing an Indian
queen who was missing a leg and had it replaced with an iron
shaft so she could return to battle. Today prosthetics are
some of the most advanced pieces of equipment in the world.
